At 11 o’clock last night, domain name providers began to officially open .APP domain sales and allow for popular registrations.
Right from the time of its appearance, the APP domain has made a resounding buzz and is set by Google to become the standard for software and application developers.
To use .APP domain, Google requires that all websites use HTTPS instead of HTTP, which means that when you purchase .APP you will need an SSL certificate attached.
With this launch of .APP domain, domain name providers also offer free SSL certificates. There is a free one-year supplier (Namecheap), also a free lifetime provider (GoDaddy).
