“GoDaddy has had a fairly successful business quarter, with a growing number of customers, revenue growth and huge cash flow“, said CEO Blake Irving.
The early months of 2017 marked many important activities in the business and structure of GoDaddy, highlighted are:
- Completes the acquisition of Host Europe Group, which dominates the European market.
- Launch professional, fast website design solution – GoCentral.
- Buy website security products and services provider – Sucuri.
With the above activities and the maintenance and improvement of product/service/customer care quality, revenue in Q1/2017 of GoDaddy reached $489.7 million, up 12.9% compared with the same period in 2016.
In particular, revenue from domain name services still accounted for 50% of the total – reached $240.8 million, up 10% compared with the first quarter of 2016. Revenue from Web Hosting & Web Presence was $178.3 million, up 11.2%.
Net cash flow from operating activities also increased significantly – up 20.2% from the first quarter of 2016, reaching $126.6 million.
The net loss at the end of March 2017 was just $0.4 million, a half-way lower than Q4/2016.
Statistics on March 31, 2017 noted that GoDaddy had 15.1 million customers. Adding 1.7 million customers to the acquisition of the HEG brand, GoDaddy started Q2 2012 with approximately 16.8 million customers worldwide, including me and you.
And it is certain that the number of GoDaddy customers will increase constantly in 2017.
