GoDaddy closes Cloud Server service

After more than a year of Cloud Server business, opening up the Singapore datacenter, GoDaddy suddenly announced the closure of the service yesterday.

The decision was made at the same time as the PlusServer resale deal for €397m ($456m), a deal that was part of the acquisition of Host Europe Group. BC Partners is the company that acquired PlusServer.

This year, GoDaddy has had a lot of business reforms that have suffered from losses for many years, bringing positive results in the first three months of the year.

For users using the Cloud Server service, GoDaddy requires a full backup of all data before 31/12/2017. After this date, customers will not be able to access the server nor will be supported.

Currently, you can still create new server, test, clone as well as destroy server.
