Godaddy has recently launched a beta domain evaluation tool called – GoDaddy Domain Appraisals.
GoDaddy Domain Appraisals allows the user to type in any domain name and immediately receive information about that domain value. Including the monetary value of the domain, it also lists some relevant data, explaining the above results.
For example, I try typing with magehit.com, immediately will have the results as shown below:
It is easy to see the estimated value for MageHit.com is $1,197. Having achieved that, GoDaddy’s system relies on domain names that have been sold with similar structure. In addition, there are evaluations of each element in the domain name: keyword, the back extension, the length of the domain name, the level of easy to remember or not…
I found the domain names with English content to have more estimates and related information.
This is definitely not the final number for a domain, the buyer – the seller can negotiate a price higher or lower than the estimate, depending on its actual value to both parties.
However, it is also a very useful tool to help you partially estimate the value of domain names when you want to put on the market. It is also easier to negotiate with buyers than with a validation tool from GoDaddy.
