Namecheap adds new feature to the domain name search page

Recently, Namecheap has added a new feature on the search page, especially useful for domain name traders.

Now, not only will the basic information about the domain name be available, but it will also show some historical information if it has been registered before.

For example, with the domain name money.com, when searching on Namecheap you will see more information it has been registered since 1995: REGISTERED IN 1995, clicking on it will be some more specific information:

As you can see, Namecheap displays more information about the domain’s first registration time, where it is registered, whether it is active or not, estimated annual sales, number of employees, Alexa traffic and the social link at the bottom.

Namecheap CEO Richard Kirkendall shared that, in the near future, the company intends to add additional domain purchase data, if it has ever been sold before.

All of the above will help users to be more aware of the value of the domain name they are looking for, encourage them to buy more, as well as promote a more developed domain name market.
