NameSilo was sold for $9.5 million

Last week, NameSilo – the leading domain name provider on CouponTree – was acquired by a Canadian investment company.

Brisio Innovations Inc. – a company specializing in capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, has spent $9.5 million with a future commitment (unclear figures), to buy all the issued and unspecified shares of NameSilo.

NameSilo is a very popular domain name provider in the world with over 85,000 customers in 160 countries. 2017 seems to be a brilliant development of NameSilo with revenues of $11.1 million, up $4.2 million compared to 2016. Starting in 2017, the NameSilo system only recorded about 745,000 domain names, and today it has risen to 1.35 million domains, nearly doubling. In addition, NameSilo is also a provider with a high renewal rate (customer retention rate) – up to 87%.

Despite being bought, customers can still be assured of using the service here as before, and the future will have more benefits. As a result, all staff and processes of operation, management, support will not be changed. This information is officially announced on NameSilo website.

The merger/acquisition process is expected to be completed by July 2 2018. Hopefully, we will see a lot of positive innovations from this provider.
